This activity solely held in order to support the development of NTB tourism to gain one million tourists on Visit Lombok Sumbawa 2012. “We want to create a masterpiece able to support tourism in NTB,” said head committee Komang Ardana. Increasing its cow population, NTB government has recruited 79 husbandry scholars to accompany local breeders. The total of husbandry scholars divide into 62 scholars who financed by APBN (State Revenue and Expenditure Budget) and 17 scholars who financed by APBD NTB (Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget). The scholars played its role as manager so they can change the mindset of local breeders.

Focusing their mission, they divide into three areas of cow and plants integration. There are three groups in Jeringu, East Lombok; four groups in Utan, Sumbawa and four groups in Tambora, Dompu Regency. There are also incentives and assistance program for productive female buffaloes. The programs had given to 451 groups worth Rp68,194 billion.

NTB government also funding four groups in East Lombok and Central Lombok as much as Rp750 million from the tobacco’s excise due to both areas are the central of tobacco.
