ASDP Prepared 20 Ships
ASDP prepared 20 ships to resolved traffic light of the arrival and the departure passengers in celebrating Lebaran for Lembar – Padang Bai route. The added ships did because of the passenger prediction is increase more than last year. “Besides the ships which are operated now, it will be added some ships to operate in the Lebaran period. I think 20 ships are enough” said Lunggu Simanjuntak as Operational Manager of PT. ASDP Lembar yesterday.
According to Lunggu, their crew did some efforts preparing the transportation to face Lebaran, include coordinate with related institution. “We are deal if there is significant passenger amount, we will add the trip” he said.
He explained if there are two applicable patterns, they are: normal pattern and crowded pattern. In normal condition, the trip amount which is applied as much as 24 trips and it becomes 30 trips in crowded condition.
“If the crowded condition happened, we will operate all of ships which we have” he said.
He ensure the ships that will passed through and from Padang Bai – Lembar will not queued up like last year. It is proved with the operation two quays in Lembar and Padang bai. “ The new quay located in Padangbai have been operated since two months ago,” he added.
Meanwhile, ASDP anticipating the possibility of ship’ accident with watching the climate condition everyday in them coordination with BMKG. The arrangement of Lembar harbour include the parking yard aimed to comfort the people who used water transportation. In the normal condition the parking yard could accommodate four wheels vehicle as much as 100 until 200 unit.
In the other side until today there is no raising passenger. And in the week of Ramadhan, the passing ship situation was not crowded. The ship that have been operated is 15 unit. “This situation happened in the last year because the activity in this month decreasing but in the next week it will be increase” he said.
