Volcanic Eruption for 1.800 Meter in Height

Tuesday (May 4) at 07.30 local time, Baru Jari mountain at Rinjani mountain range erupted and expelling gray smoke up to 1.200 meter height make the ash fall onto Senaru village of North Lombok, precisely located at the north of mountain area and befall to onto Sembalun Village of East Lombok. It is fear that the ash could damage the plants and people’s health around the area.
Barung Jari mountain during the last year, as been said by an officer from Volcanic Mountain Observation post in Sembalun East Lombok, Mutaharlin, Tuesday evening (May 4). “The ash spread to radius 13 kilometer,” he said. (more…)
